WordPress 5.6 was released this past week on Tuesday, and our tiny typing fingers have been plugging away to keep all of our blocks-based themes and plugins compatible with the new block editor markup.
For those of you using the C9, it’s time to update! Download links for all of the themes and plugins haven’t changed so you can pull those right from your welcome email that you received when you signed up for our early access list. (You already signed up, right?)
The greatest part about being involved with WordPress is the ever-evolving codebase that you benefit from each time there’s a release. With the latest version of C9 and WordPress, building landing pages with block templates has never been easier.
Block Patterns
Block patterns are coming to C9-Starter and all C9 themes. Most of our templates are stored within the C9 Blocks plugin so they’re able to have responsive grids included with them, but going forward there will also be a selection of simple block patterns included with themes as well for users who haven’t installed the C9 Blocks plugin.
C9 is so easy to use, we brought my mom out of retirement to update all of our documentation for slave wages because that’s just the kind of people that we are.
What makes C9 awesome?
VISUAL, INTUITIVE CONTENT EDITING.

C9 Starter now on wordpress.org
C9 Starter was accepted onto the WordPress.org Theme Repository late last week, so if you HATE waiting for my long-winded email updates each week, you can now download C9 Starter from WordPress.org directly whenever we release an update.
Pretty cool huh?
